O'Reilly Suggests Clinton Replace Annan
Just minutes ago, Bill O'Reilly, while fussing with Richard Hollbrook, strongly suggested that Kofi Annan be ousted as Sec-Gen and replaced by Bill Clinton. Clinton wants the job and said so publicly back in October. I blogged about it on October 21st and you can re-visit that piece here. That O'Reilly actually said he thought Clinton would be good for the UN sort of took me off guard. It would be good for the UN and therein lies the problem. We don't need a good UN. We need a weak, totally irrelevant UN that is powerless over any given sovereign nation. Clinton's presence there would rejuvinate the UN. It really could happen, you know; and it could happen sooner than later, especially if the UN (read Kofi Annan) screws up the Herculean Asian relief project as he has every other program he's been involved in. (see this)
On Friday, December 31st, at the The Daly Report, (see "comments") I predicted that Clinton would be the next Sec-Gen of the UN.
The UN as we know it would change forever if Clinton headed it up.
He would make sure of it.
