I Had a Dog Like This One!
Rosie was a great dog...an inimitable Golden Retriever and quintessential best friend of the canine kind. I think she may have had this conversation with Little Joe, our common gray tabby. Now that Rosie is gone, Little Joe rules the roost and once in awhile you can even detect a wagging tail. Maybe those "talkings to" made an impression on Little Joe!
Thanks to my sis for passing this cartoon along. She found it at New Yorker Magazine.
While we're talking cats and dogs and how much they mean to us, why don't you consider buying Mark Levin's new book, Rescuing Sprite: A Dog Lover's Story of Joy and Anguish.
Here's a picture of Rosie doing her best to take my attention away from the Internet. She died 3 years ago this January. She was the best!
And here's Little Joe, kicking back after dinner one Friday night. He's pretty demanding, but he has a very attentive staff.
