If there's a "disturbing article of the year" award out there, this deserves Grand Prize handsdown:

That's where we are in history folks. It's called liberal fascism, but sadly we can't blame this one on the leftist dems. This one is compliments of President Bush.

Welcome to the 21st Century United States of Amerika where our Divinely inspired Constitution and those pesky Bill of Rights have been relegated to the Archives. However, our beloved founding documents will be in good company. God is there. The Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness is there. Our country's great motto is there; E Pluribus Unum (out of many, one) has been replaced by "out of one, many."

One of the new "make work" govt programs will probably be the enlargement of the National Archives so it will be able to hold our beloved freedoms which will be stripped away in the name of security and domestic peace.

I'm not sure if Kate Smith's classic "God Bless America" has been sent to the Archives yet, but maybe we should contract a contemporary hymn writer to begin working on a replacement song titled, "God, Be Merciful to America."
