Yom Kippur, Day of Atonement, not just for Jews
Today is Yom Kippur which is also known as the Day of Atonement for many Christians around the world. Many think of this day and the upcoming Fall Festivals as Jewish Holidays when, in fact, they are called the Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23). Of course, this day is not a feast day as such, it's a day of fasting and a day of prayer.
If there was ever a need for a day of fasting and prayer in this country and around the world, it is right now.
As individuals and as a nation, we need God in our lives more than ever. What better way to acknowledge Him but by forsaking food and water for a day and humbly invite Him into our lives.
It might change your life. It could change the direction of this country!
