A Desperate Leftist Media
The NYT's most recent headline reads, "G.O.P. Glum as It Struggles to Hold Congress."
As we get closer to Tuesday's mid-term election there seems to be an onslaught of those supposedly in the know, piling on in ever increasing numbers trying to convince voting America that the republicans chance of hanging on to any semblance of a majority in Congress is virtually a lost cause.
Puhlease!!!
On the contrary and against all "conventional wisdom," I think the left is scared to death.
What is puzzling to me are the really smart guys like Novak, Krauthammer, Kristol and others who predict big republican losses.
If the left didn't have the old media, they wouldn't have anything. In fact, the old media is the left's only hope to make any gains whatsoever in any election.
The left is literally bereft of ideas that they are able to openly and honestly share with the voting public. The only plan they offer in the war against terror (an egregious misnomer BTW...we're not at war with terror, we're at war with radical Islamic terrorists) is to pull out and admit defeat like we did in Viet Nam. Do Americans really want to do that?
All indications lead me to believe that the left is very worried about this election. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are in hiding and certainly not on the campaign trail seeking media attention. Isn't that a little odd for a party drunk with confidence?
Additionally, for weeks now the media has been telling us about inevitable problems with voting machines and warning that teams of attorneys are on the scene across the country ready to protest and investigate probable problems.
Do you see a pattern here?
I think the republicans are going to do quite well in Tuesday's elections; and not surprisingly well. I'm going to be surprised if the dems do well.
The old biased leftist media is keenly aware of the fact that a vote against the dems on Tuesday is also a vote against them.
Which is just one more reason to get to the polls early Tuesday morning.
