FDR's "D Day" Prayer
Chances are you didn't hear this prayer offered up by President Franklin Roosevelt on this day in 1944 unless you listen to Talk Radio.
Mike Gallagher played it first thing this morning, then I heard Rush play it, then on Hannity and finally on Mark Levin's show. Conservatives capitalized on this politically incorrect prayer even though FDR is not our most beloved president. I didn't hear a mention of it from anyone on the left side of the isle.
It was an inspiring prayer that would never be uttered in political parlance today. Pity!
But it was a different time back in the 1940's. We were one nation under God and we knew we needed God's help to win the war against the evil Nazi's. Back then, we weren't afraid to beseech God's on a national scale. There was no fear of lawsuits; no fear of offending anyone; just a united effort to win the war.
Even most of the media was on our side. The phrase, "loose lips sink ships" was taken seriously and people knew that secrecy was of utmost importance if we were going to win that war...and we ALL wanted to win the war, unlike many on the left today who sympathize with our enemies and blame America for their evil deeds.
Those were the days!
If you didn't hear FDR's moving supplication to Almighty God, you can not only hear it but you can see it at WorldNetDaily's link right here.
