Lunch at the Blue Star Deli
We had a great time today at the Blue Star Deli. Pictured above from left to right is TexasFred, Mike Gallagher and moi, Rich Glasgow.
Mike Gallagher graciously asked me to be on his national radio show this morning after he learned there are some bloggers out here drumming up support for the good folks at the aforementioned deli.
Meanwhile, Fred Witzell, aka Texas Fred, was on WBAP's Mark Davis show this morning plugging our lunch extravaganza (Please see my previous post and visit the links for the lowdown on the Blue Star Deli).
If you live in the Dallas area you NEED to have breakfast or lunch there often. It's not one of those carbon copy, cookie cutter chains. This place is a Texas original which will capture your Texana taste buds. I had a terrific grilled Reuben sandwich for a little over 3 bucks. It'll be a tough choice between the burgers and the Reuben next time I go.
They can't sell you a beer because of those pesky Texas "dry areas," but if you spend 5 bucks they'll give you a beer! How great is that?
This is an ongoing deal, folks....we're not going to forget about this place. As for me and mine, we're going to be visiting the Blue Star Deli early and often!
Go there!
