Isn't It Rich

What do the Chi-Coms and Dems have in common?

They both HATE criticism and they will both do whatever is within their power to silence that criticism. The Chi-Coms have the power to arrest (and execute) and the dems are salivating to enforce a new "Fairness Doctrine" to silence Talk Radio. For now, the dems don't have the power the Chi-Coms do.

During this time of Olympiad "goodwill;" a time when utopic globalism is on display for all to see, the Chi-Coms have actually arrested and are holding Americans who have been critical of the Chi-Com's Tibetan policy! How DARE those evil bloggers attempt to exercise freedom in the Chi-Com's realm! What were they thinking?

The leftist dems, no doubt, are in full, melt-down envy that they can't do the same thing here.

Check out the above linked story. Wouldn't you think that Americans being held in China should be headline news at every network and every wire service? It's sort of like the fact that Russia is stealing American Humvees from Georgia that were on the docks headed for America. Isn't that an act of war against us? Isn't it an act of war to hold Americans for "blogging?"

Will America passively sit back and allow immoral communist countries to commit acts of war on us?
BEIJING (Reuters) - At least eight American blogger-activists and several other foreigners have been detained in Beijing as the government intensifies a crackdown on pro-Tibetan protests in the home stretch of the Olympics, rights groups said on Wednesday.

Students for a Free Tibet earlier said authorities detained five self-styled "citizen journalists" who were in Beijing to promote Tibetan freedom on Tuesday. The New York-based group said activist-artist James Powderly had also been nabbed.

Later on Wednesday, the group said four more protesters, including two Americans and a British national, were also detained after unfurling a Tibetan flag outside the National Stadium, or "Bird's Nest."

The Beijing Olympics have not been dogged by the widespread demonstrations that authorities had feared. Several protesters advocating for Tibet independence have nonetheless managed to breach tight security, in one case hanging a "Free Tibet" banner outside the headquarters of the state broadcaster.

China is particularly sensitive to criticism of its rule in Tibet, the far-western region Communist troops entered in 1950.

"In relation to foreigners holding demonstrations in Beijing in support of Tibet independence, competent authorities have the right to handle these things according to law," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a news conference on Wednesday.

"I'd also like to emphasize that in China, activities that support Tibet independence will be strongly condemned by the Chinese people and will not be welcomed."
Ain't Communism grand?

Are we going to allow the Chi-Coms to "hold" Americans because they dared blog critical accounts of communism?

Are we going to allow the Russians to steal our Humvees and humiliate our allies in Georgia?

How would Obama handle these problems? Would he even see them as problems?

How would McCain handle these problems?

Many more problems along these same lines are going to present themselves early on in the next presidency to check our resolve.

Pray that we will have resolve now and then!
