Honoring Memorial Day

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who have given their lives so that others might live. As we've heard and read from time immemorial in the book of John 15:13:

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

This day is set apart for those who have done just that.

The good folks at Lucianne.com remind us that the United States Armed Forces as well as others in uniform have made that ultimate sacrifice. They gave their lives that we could live here in peace. It is they we honor today.

There is another who paid the ultimate price for us; Jesus Christ gave His life that we could have eternal life.

May we never forget those who made that willing sacrifice for us.
