Wouldn't THIS be a Good thing?
Tonight's headlines include this little piece: Russia to build oil pipeline to supply Japan. Okay, isn't this a good thing for everyone concerned?
Unless, of course, it takes away oil from the good ol' USA.
Surely we want Japan and every other country to have all the oil they can afford to buy, including ourselves, so more power to Russia for building an outlet to get more of their oil on the market.
Go for it, Ruskies! Ship your crude to as many places as possible and don't be dissuaded by the whacked out environmentalists. Drill and pump 'til your heart's content and build those pipelines in every direction. More power to you! It may well be that you all are not nearly as constrained as we are. Time will tell, but go for it while you can. The more oil you can market, the more stable the market will be. Our hats are off to you!
