Isn't It Rich

Raising Boys to be Red Blooded American Men (as opposed to metrosexual girly boys)

You should read the last three columns Doug Giles has written, especially if you have some young sons. They need to be rescued, you know. The immasculating agenda the left puts forth in government indoctrination centers would have you believe that your rambunctious little guy needs to get in touch with his feminine side. If he doesn't buckle down to the abnormal suppression of misguided administers of psycho-babble, then something must be wrong with him. Drugs may be needed to bring him in line. Furthermore, his homelife may need to be examined...for acting the way boys are wired to act.

Do yourself a favor, mom and dad, and read Raising boys part I, part II and part III. Print them out and save them and review them from time to time. They are excellent columns.

Look what's happening to our schools and how things have so drastically changed in a generation or two. Consider all the social engineering that has taken place in schools based on foolhardy politically correct, moral relativistic curricula and ask the "Dr. Phil" question: "how's that working for us?"

Obviously, it's not working at all.

If you have any doubt about how the "mainstream" "feels" about masculinity, be sure to read the WAPO piece, Man Overboard by Ruth Marcus, who states:

I have a new theory about what's behind everything that's wrong with the Bush administration: manliness.
But I digress.

Which once again leads me to the matter of Homeschooling. Isn't it about time to free your kids from the mental oppression of the left-wing educrats who have brought our once great public education system to ruins?

There are many alternatives to public indoctrination, er, education. Homeschool was the viable choice for us and it's becoming the popular choice for hundreds of thousands of families across the fruited plain. The internet is replete with homeschool data and support groups. This week marks the 12th week of the Carnival of Homeschooling and it's being hosted by Shannon, over at PHAT Mommy. She runs an excellent blog and she's got some great Homeschool links.

Be sure to go there and spend a little time with those good folks.
