Dealing with Nuclear Warheads and the bad guys (thanks Bill and Madeleine!)
Ok, the little Mad Man of North Korea has launched his little dong missiles and promises to launch more. While he's shooting blanks India launched a test missile of her own this weekend. Who knows when Iran will test their strength or impotence, whichever the case may be.
Hmmm...any difference here? Well sure, India is our friend and isn't a threat. I'll buy that! But there will always be leftists who see absolutely no difference between the good guys and the bad guys and will be equally indignant over the right to self-defense (or in the case of the bad guys, offense!).
So, what if Taiwan feels the need to flex their might and decides to fire off a few missiles? Hopefully they'll show the world a larger, more powerful dong than the mostly impotent Kim Jong Il whose staying power is about 45 seconds. If China counters, then what?
Since the United States is one of the few countries remaining who eschews the bogus philosophy of moral equivalence, we won't say much about our allies when they test their armaments and as well we shouldn't!
Still, the world in which we live seems to be breeding nuclear powers faster than you can say, "Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright " and something other than limp wristed U.N.-type diplomacy needs to happen before things get out of hand.
My friend, Ronald L. Dart has some opinions of his own about the nuclear arms race. Scroll down to "The Korean Problem."
