Prager: Compassion and the Decline of America
There's an awfully good piece by Dennis Prager at Townhall.com titled, Compassion and the Decline of America. It speaks volumes as to what is going on in our Politically Correct society. It's one of those must reads that I assign you every now and then. So what have you been waiting for...go and read the aforementioned piece and then get back here post-haste for an important commentary!
Assuming you read Prager's piece, I'm going to let you in on my take in the whole matter of compassion and political correctness and what it's doing to our society.
I would go so far as to say it's the reason George W. Bush is a public relations nightmare! You see, he can't just come out and tell America that we're going to root out the Islamofascists and kill as many of them as we can before they kill us. He can't say that we will be victorious at any cost and will not accept anything less than victory in this war against evil terrorists. He can't say that we are fighting against evil scum who hide behind women and children and barricade themselves in hospitals and mosques. He just can't publicly say these things even though they are true.
Why? Because the upside down, perverted politically correct world makes us, Western Civilization, the bad guy and the enemy, and we can't call our enemies (who have become the so-called victims by the leftist media) the "bad guy." That's how upside down this world has become and the Bush administration hasn't the guts to break through this PC crappola to call a spade a spade (can you say that, or does that have some racial innuendo to it....see what we've wrought?!!!)
My point is this: we will never win another war until we can openly speak of victory over our enemies, who by their very nature are evil (by virtue of them killing our innocent women and children in terrorist attacks). Sadly, there are so many who believe we are no better than our enemies; or worse, that they are better than we.
Think about that!
