Bill Ayers: What you need to know!
Thanks to Mark Levin for exposing the terrorist activities of the unrepentant Bill Ayers, founder of The Weathermen Underground terrorist Organization and friend of Barack Obama.
Check these out:
Ayers reminder (Hat Tip: AliVeritas - Stolen from TSchmereL):Is there any wonder Obama doesn't want you to see this documented and damaging ad.
For those who have forgotten or weren’t born yet here is a list of a few of the activities. Just think if this were happening today:
7 October 1969 – Bombing of Haymarket Police Statue in Chicago, apparently as a “kickoff” for the “Days of Rage” riots in the city October 8-11, 1969. The Weathermen later claim credit for the bombing in their book, “Prairie Fire.”

Was Michelle's speech inspired by Saul Alinsky?
Michelle Obama used an interesting phrase at least twice in her speech last night. She referred to 'The world as it is' and 'The world as it should be'" and attributed the phrase to her husband. But was it inspired by the radical leftist, Saul Alinsky?
...a blogger is pointing out that the statements appear to have been drawn from "Rules for Radicals," a book by dedicated socialist Saul Alinsky.Thank goodness the new media, the relevant media, is exposing the Obama's and their associates for what they are...radical leftists.
"What to make of Michelle Obama's use [of] the terms, 'The world as it is' and 'The world as it should be?'" wrote the Gateway Pundit today. "Try Chapter 2 of Saul Alinksy's book, 'Rules for Radicals.'"
"In last night's speech, Michelle Obama said something that [piqued] my curiosity," the blogger noted. "She said, 'Barack stood up that day,' talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, 'and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about 'The world as it is' and 'The world as it should be…'"
"And, 'All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won't do – that we have an obligation to fight for the world as it should be," the blogger wrote.
Chapter 2 of Alinsky's book says: "The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are passive — but real — allies of the Haves…The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means... The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be."
Taking up pursuit of the slogans, another blogger, at Riehlworldview, noted she probably got the phrases from her husband, since he was hired by Jerry Kellman at one point early in his career. Kellman was an Alinsky protégé, the blogger said.
"After college Obama moved to Chicago to be part of the Jerry Kellman organization as a community organizer. … Among the primary goals of Alinsky was radical socialism and redistribution of wealth. Alinsky taught his proteges to 'HIDE' their true goals by any means necessary. Lying was fine. The objective of Alinsky and Kellman was to turn people against the white establishment," the blogger said.

Uncle Jay...A Special Convention Edition
Go ahead and miss the political conventions but don't miss Uncle Jay's explanation of how the presidential candidates are nominated.
God Bless Team USA
This is rich! Hat tip to the news junkies at Lucianne.com for this. You gotta love it:
If I may quote the headline writers at Lucianne.com:
While U.S. athletes have stayed silent about politics during these Olympic Games, their actions have spoken volumes.Go Team America!
First came the decision by U.S. team captains to pick runner Lopez Lomong, who was a Sudanese war refugee, to lead the U.S. delegation into the Aug. 8 opening ceremony as the team's flag bearer.
Many interpreted Lomong's selection as a dig at the Chinese government's support of Sudan, which has armed militias that have killed hundreds of thousands of people in the country's Darfur region.
On Friday night, the U.S. team entered the political fray again by choosing archer Khatuna Lorig, who was born in what is now the country of Georgia, to be the U.S. flag bearer in Sunday's closing ceremony.
With Georgia recently fighting a mismatched war against Russian troops in the separatist Georgian province of South Ossetia, many saw Lorig's selection as a show of support by U.S. athletes for the besieged Georgians.
Since breaking from the former Soviet Union, Georgia has moved closer to the United States and other Western powers while angering Russian leaders.
If I may quote the headline writers at Lucianne.com:
"Sometimes our athletes have more guts than our politicians."
Ye Shall Know Them by their Conventions
I'm already nauseated by the machinations leading up to the big convention in Denver. Doubtless, there is more to come that will surely churn my innards. Still, it's going to be an interesting, if not educational week or two.
Like the idiom goes, "you are known by the friends you keep." Even the casual observer with just a bit of wit and wisdom, will be able to learn much about the presidential candidates and their parties, just by seeing how they conduct themselves and who participates at their respective conventions.
You don't have to have any political savvy to observe order or disarray, hypocrisy or authenticity, deceit or honesty. It shouldn't even take any special insight to make such observations. Just watch how the parties and participants conduct themselves.
Here's what I'll be looking for; hypocrisy on parade. Will dems be practicing their strict "green" implementations which they wish to impose on the rest of us? Will their "Carbon Footprints" be a topic of importance or will there be a record number of private jets, limousines and SUV's scattered about in Denver! Will tolerance of differing opinions and philosophies be the rule? Will the food and merchandise vendors only sell items which are deemed "green" and "sustainable" by the food nazi's and whacked out environmentalists?
Or will the duplistic rule of elitists be in play? You know the one..."do as I say, not as I do."
These are the things to look for. It's really not even necessary to subject yourself to the platitudinous speeches, unless you're a hopeless masochist. If you do plan punish yourself, make sure you have new batteries in your B.S. detector.

What do the Chi-Coms and Dems have in common?
They both HATE criticism and they will both do whatever is within their power to silence that criticism. The Chi-Coms have the power to arrest (and execute) and the dems are salivating to enforce a new "Fairness Doctrine" to silence Talk Radio. For now, the dems don't have the power the Chi-Coms do.
During this time of Olympiad "goodwill;" a time when utopic globalism is on display for all to see, the Chi-Coms have actually arrested and are holding Americans who have been critical of the Chi-Com's Tibetan policy! How DARE those evil bloggers attempt to exercise freedom in the Chi-Com's realm! What were they thinking?
The leftist dems, no doubt, are in full, melt-down envy that they can't do the same thing here.
Check out the above linked story. Wouldn't you think that Americans being held in China should be headline news at every network and every wire service? It's sort of like the fact that Russia is stealing American Humvees from Georgia that were on the docks headed for America. Isn't that an act of war against us? Isn't it an act of war to hold Americans for "blogging?"
Will America passively sit back and allow immoral communist countries to commit acts of war on us?
Are we going to allow the Chi-Coms to "hold" Americans because they dared blog critical accounts of communism?
Are we going to allow the Russians to steal our Humvees and humiliate our allies in Georgia?
How would Obama handle these problems? Would he even see them as problems?
How would McCain handle these problems?
Many more problems along these same lines are going to present themselves early on in the next presidency to check our resolve.
Pray that we will have resolve now and then!

BEIJING (Reuters) - At least eight American blogger-activists and several other foreigners have been detained in Beijing as the government intensifies a crackdown on pro-Tibetan protests in the home stretch of the Olympics, rights groups said on Wednesday.Ain't Communism grand?
Students for a Free Tibet earlier said authorities detained five self-styled "citizen journalists" who were in Beijing to promote Tibetan freedom on Tuesday. The New York-based group said activist-artist James Powderly had also been nabbed.
Later on Wednesday, the group said four more protesters, including two Americans and a British national, were also detained after unfurling a Tibetan flag outside the National Stadium, or "Bird's Nest."
The Beijing Olympics have not been dogged by the widespread demonstrations that authorities had feared. Several protesters advocating for Tibet independence have nonetheless managed to breach tight security, in one case hanging a "Free Tibet" banner outside the headquarters of the state broadcaster.
China is particularly sensitive to criticism of its rule in Tibet, the far-western region Communist troops entered in 1950.
"In relation to foreigners holding demonstrations in Beijing in support of Tibet independence, competent authorities have the right to handle these things according to law," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a news conference on Wednesday.
"I'd also like to emphasize that in China, activities that support Tibet independence will be strongly condemned by the Chinese people and will not be welcomed."

Cover Up? Say it ain't so, Obama!
Who would have ever thought? Looks like the friends of Obama don't want us to see what went on in his former life with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Obama's records have been sealed at the University of Illinois. I'm shocked...SHOCKED that he doesn't want us to see these files:
The University of Illinois has refused to release records related to Sen. Barack Obama's service for a nonprofit educational project that put him in contact with activist William Ayers, a 1960s-era radical and now education professor. This needs to be closely monitored. Be sure to read the entire piece.
The university's Chicago campus maintains that the donor of the records that document the work of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge has not handed over ownership rights. The university says it is "aggressively pursuing" an agreement with the donor, and as soon as an agreement is reached, the collection will be made accessible to the public. The university has not identified the donor.
The Obama campaign says the senator does not have control over these records or the ability to release them, adding that it has made many documents related to Obama's life available to the public and that "we are pleased the university is pursuing an agreement that would make these records publicly available."
The National Review this week posted an article online saying that the institution had initially deemed the records open to inspection, but that the university subsequently reversed its position. Tuesday, the university said that there had been a misunderstanding.
Ayers is an education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In his youth, he co-founded the Weatherman organization, later known as the Weather Underground Organization, which espoused violence in the pursuit of political change.

My Fourth Blogoversary
It was 4 years ago yesterday that I fired up this blog and commenced blogging. In these past 4 years I've posted 1948 posts and have had 45,388 visits. I know, those numbers are microscopic when you see that DRUDGE is getting 14 million hits each day, but when I become an "overnight" success I'll be able to point to my days as a baby blogger.
Why blog? Well, as an inveterate news and information junkie, it's always been a great place to opine about my interests and feature some of my favorite sources for news and information.
More importantly, I've tried to post articles and opinions that would cause people to pause and think about what's going on in the world and get them to wonder why things are happening as they are happening.
Some of my posts are strictly for my own amusement and if anyone happens to be likewise amused, that's part of the fun.
I don't take myself too seriously although many of my posts are dead serious because I sense we're living in very dangerous times. I wish more people would wake up and realize that.
In the past couple of days I've revisited a few of my favorite posts over the last four years and I thought I would link to them in case you're interested. I may add to them as time permits...here are a few of my faves:

Judge Nullifies Juror Nullification
There was a time in this country when most people had a good understanding of the Constitution and what our civic responsibilities are. Times have changed for the majority of folks, thanks to the dumbing down of America courtesy of government schools which avoid in depth study of our founding documents.
You have to admire those who take it upon themselves to know what our rights are under the law. One of those rights is that of being a duly knowledgeable jury member. Did you know that one of the responsibilities of a juror is not only to decide the guilt or innocence of the person on trial but to also determine whether or not the law under which the defendant is charged, is a constitutional or unconstitutional law? The juror is completely above the law, can rightly disregard any and all instructions from the bench and be entirely protected from prosecution. The juror's vote of "not guilty" can "hang" the jury and nullify the verdict because of the bad law.
The problem today is that juries are not informed of their rights, nor do most prospective jurors bother to learn what their rights and responsibilities are.
When people are ignorant of their rights, they are easily rolled by corrupt or uninformed judges who don't have the right to legislate from the bench.
Here's piece posted at The Volokh Conspiracy blog about a recent case of an informed juror who was removed by a judge who either didn't know the law, or did know the law and decided to supersede it anyway.
Check it out at the above link!

Me thinks "The One" protesteth too much
According to a piece at WorldNetDaily, Obama is going ballistic over Jerome Corsi's new book, The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality:
I can't recall the Clintons ever responding this way to the myriad of books written about them.
Maybe they're going after Corsi to deflect attention from David Freddoso's new book, The Case Against Barack Obama: The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate.
If you're afraid of what the Obama presidency could and would do to this country, I heartily recommend buying BOTH of these books. It's like voting twice against the radical leftist.
Obama advisers have been tracking Corsi's media appearances, quickly telephoning producers to react to the book's charges, and last night, the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign issued a 40-page response to the book.40 pages? Wow! Corsi's book really must have touched some raw nerves.

Only in Texas
Frozen beer mug clink to Texas Fred for this one...
It's good to see the return of common sense to at least one school district; and wouldn't you know, it's in Texas:
This school has just said "NO" to future acts of terrorism. Hopefully they will set a trend.
It's good to see the return of common sense to at least one school district; and wouldn't you know, it's in Texas:
When classes start Aug. 25 in the tiny Harrold school district, there will be one distinct difference from years prior: Some of the teachers may have guns.
To deter and protect against school shootings, trustees have altered district policy to allow employees to carry concealed weapons if they have a state permit and permission from the administration. The 110-student district lies 150 miles northwest of Fort Worth on the eastern end of Wilbarger County, near the Oklahoma border.
More than a dozen state legislatures have considered making it legal to carry guns on college campuses, but experts and officials contacted by the Star-Telegram say the move is unheard of in elementary or secondary schools.

Ya gotta love Donald Trump!
The Donald is the kind of guy most people love to hate...largely because of his immense wealth and his seemingly egocentric realm. Whatever...I like the guy and always have. Here's just one more feather for The Donald's cap:
Mega-developer and TV personality Donald Trump has agreed to buy Ed McMahon's Beverly Hills house for an undisclosed amount and allow McMahon to continue living in it. Details of the deal are still being ironed out. What a guy!
"I don't know the man, but I grew up watching him on TV," Trump said in an exclusive interview with The Times.
McMahon, 85, was facing foreclosure within two weeks on his Beverly Hills home of 18 years. The aging television icon, who was Johnny Carson's sidekick for three decades, defaulted on $4.8 million in mortgage loans with Countrywide Financial Corp. He said in interviews that he was unable to work because of a neck injury that occurred about 18 months ago.
Trump said he stepped in because helping McMahon "would be an honor." His plan is to buy the home from the lender and lease it back to McMahon.

Ya gotta love Ted Nugent!
You just gotta love Ted Nugent...you don't have to love his R rated on-stage antics, but you still gotta love his "in your face" mien...
If you're an observer of all things political you know of the "gang of ten" that made news this week. The "gang" basically caved to the dems, as so many republicans are want to do. Anyway, our politically incorrect buddy, Ted Nugent, wrote a good piece in his inimitable way, titled, Gang of Sellouts. Here are a couple of paragraphs:

Anyway, our politically incorrect buddy, Ted Nugent, wrote a good piece in his inimitable way, titled, Gang of Sellouts. Here are a couple of paragraphs:
Joining five Democrats to make up the Gang of Ten, five Republican senators tossed Sen. John McCain under his Straight Talk Express Energy bus.OK, that's more than a couple of paragraphs...but be sure to read the rest of the Wild Man's piece.
The five Republican senators (Graham, Thune, Chambliss, Corker, and Isakson) should be renamed the Gang of Sellouts.
The Gang of Ten is a bipartisan group of senators who recently offered an energy policy -- intentionally or stupidly otherwise -- that can only benefit Senator Obama, whose energy policy up until this point was to tell us to keep our tires just as liberals prefer Fedzilla: properly inflated.
McCain had Obama on the energy ropes and was scoring some big-time political points, but the Gang of Sellouts has let Obama off the ropes. Just when McCain was making headway, the Gang of Sellouts let the air out of his energy fight.
According to Kimberly Strassel’s August 8th article in The Wall Street Journal, the Gang of Ten’s energy policy is to allow four states to determine whether or not to allow drilling for oil on offshore federal land and deny drilling within 50 miles of our coasts and any drilling in ANWR. Oil companies would be allowed to explore for oil off Florida’s coasts. You know, like those stalwarts of environmentalism China, Cuba and India are planning to do in the next couple of years.
Additionally, the Gang of Ten would provide over $80 billion in tax credits for alternative fuels by eliminating $30 billion in tax breaks for oil companies, which of course ultimately comes out of American consumer's pockets. That’s right: raise taxes on the very companies that would invest in finding more real energy to help make America energy independent, while propping up more Fedzilla hoaxes like ethanol. The Emperor not only has no clothes, he's fat, wart-riddled and ugly.
Increasing taxes is never the right approach if the goal is to provide incentives to expand business, lower prices, and provide jobs. Only Democrats do not understand that raising taxes destroys incentives. One would think, even pray and dream, that Republicans -- even the Gang of Sellouts -- would know this.

From the good folks at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5642 in Montrose, Pa.; they've got a message for the many telemarketers that call its answering machine: speak English.
Insensitive? Naw...these guys just love America and know the entire concept of multi-culturalism is antithetical to the precious motto of the United States of America; E Pluribus Unum.
'If you do not speak English, please hang up'

The Other Inventor of Radio...aka El Rushbo
I'm a few days late on catching Ann Coulter's tribute to the Maha Rushie. She titled it, The Other Inventor of Radio and because I'm one of the good guys, I'm going to paste a few paragraphs here.....hopefully it will only entice you to read the entire piece. Here you go:
The story of Rush Limbaugh reminds me of a movie you wouldn’t believe could ever happen in real life. Forging his own path against all odds and under constant attack, in the end, the hero triumphs!
I knew about the prominent Limbaugh family before I ever heard of Rush. I clerked for a federal appeals court judge in Kansas City after law school, and every lawyer in the Midwest has heard of the Limbaughs–the Limbaugh judges, the Limbaugh lawyers, the Limbaugh courthouse.
But Rush spurned the law, spurned college and went on radio. He wanted to be on radio, so that’s what he did. He was a conservative, so that’s what he was.
As obvious as it seems now that Rush would be a huge success on radio, it was far from obvious for many years. He was fired repeatedly, until, eventually, his distinctive brand of conservative talk radio that no one believed would work, worked.
When Rush came along, it’s not just that there was no conservative talk radio to speak of. AM radio was dying. And the idea of a national show three hours a day at a time of day when Republicans are at work must have seemed ludicrous to even his friends.
But the moment Rush became a huge success, liberals said he was just in it for the money!
Yes, what surer path to fame and fortune than announcing that you are a conservative and taking on the entire mainstream media while being repeatedly fired?
Perhaps some of Rush’s imitators are in it for the money, but when Rush was coming up, there was absolutely no reason to believe three hours of conservative talk radio was the path to big bucks. (Judging from Air America radio, liberals sure aren't going into talk radio for the money.)
That's way more than a couple of paragraphs...forgive me, Ms. Coulter...
