This says it all when it comes to environmental extremists. This isn't something new. The environmental movement has always been about earth religion and the replacement of Creator worship with creation worship. It's just been happening incrementally.

Essentially, earth worship has been around since the ancients and has been resurrected by the Neo-Pagans who have been behind the environmental movement since its inception.

Do something daring and read about these believers in the 1st chapter of the book of Romans, verses 20-32 . You might be surprised and even alarmed at what the Apostle Paul had to say about those who "pledge allegiance to earth."

The Cult of The Expert

Hat tip to Ron Dart for bringing this revelatory piece to my attention. The article by Jonathan Rosenblum describes the logic (arrogantly twisted that it is) behind the elitism of the over educated left. It explains a lot!

This is an important piece. It starts out drudgingly but becomes more readable. It's titled, Repentance for a misspent youth and here are a couple of the money paragraphs:
That the cult of the expert — itself an outgrowth of the Enlightenment's enthroning of human reason above all — should appeal to intellectual elites is unsurprising: It is a form of the revenge of the nerds whose superior qualities were unnoted by the pretty girls in high school. The assumption that "rationality" is a matter easily ascertained, at least by the brainy folks, underlies the preference for centrally planned economies by many intellectuals. Free markets are deemed too unruly, too irrational, as they give equal weight to the decisions of millions of consumers, those with high IQs and low IQs alike.

Belief in a single rational solution to every problem leads as well to nasty politics. Marxists have a term for those who fail to acknowledge the rational solution: "false consciousness." False consciousness can infect entire social classes, and when it does they must either be re-educated or eliminated. In non-totalitarian regimes, ridicule replaces re-education for all those too stupid to accept the consensus. Perhaps that explains why so many writers to the Yale Law Magazine find calling George W. Bush an idiot the height of sophisticated wit. Even "jokes" about Sarah Palin's Down Syndrome son and "retarded" family are not beyond the pale.

Not since the heady days of Camelot has the easy assumption that the "brightest" are the "best" held such sway in Washington D.C., or the cachet of prestigious Ivy League degrees been so high. The cult of the "expert" is reflected in the 30 or so "czars" designated to date. President Obama's choice for science czar, John Holdren, suffers from a particularly hardy case.

There's lots of good reading out there for the weekend. After all there are some terrific things about which to write, thanks to the uproarious goings on in Washington. Here's a good start for your weekend stack of stuff. Enjoy, ingest, enrage and engage!

White House explains Obama's 'Wee-weed up' comment. This may be our first Wee-wee administration, in every sense of whatever the hell it means.

Is Obama lying about government funding of abortion? Surely not! But why else would Planned Parenthood and every other pro-abortion group be supporting Obamacare? I'm just saying...

Who’s a Racist? Is it Glenn Beck or is it the dems? Even a casual observer knows when the left plays the race card. It's almost like knowing when they're lying; you know, when they move their mouths.

A Deck Stacked With Race Cards by Jonah Goldberg calls the left on this tired tactic. Are you critical of Obama? You're a racist! Don't want Obamacare? Racist! Eschew tax increases on the "disgustingly filthy rich?" Then you're not only racist but an intolerant racist bastard hatemonger. You know the drill.

David Limbaugh writes about Obama's Brick Wall: The American People. All in all I'm just another brick in the wall. Hopefully you and all of your friends, family and associates are too.

President Bush did away with The Death Book for Veterans but guess who has resuscitated it (poor choice of words in this context...)? Yup! Read this piece to get the real low-down on those "non-existing" death panels. You can't make this stuff up, folks!

My buddy over at The Barn has a series of hate-spewing pics aimed at the president.Take a look at the hateful mobs. Remember these pics whenever the left villifies the Tea Parties and disgruntled constituents at Town Hall meetings. Where's the real hate?

Read what Jon Voight has to say about the "Obamazation" (my term, not his) of America as he hooks up with Hannity to attend the Cincinnati Freedom concert.

Voights asks: is Obama creating a civil war in America? He proceeded to explain what he and millions of others see happening under the leadership of Obama and the most left-wing congress of all time:
"There's a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?" Mr. Voight tells Inside the Beltway.

"We are witnessing a slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms. We are becoming a socialist nation, and whoever can't see this is probably hoping it isn't true. If we permit Mr. Obama to take over all our industries, if we permit him to raise our taxes to support unconstitutional causes, then we will be in default. This great America will become a paralyzed nation."

Be outraged, Mr. Voight advises.

"Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning Alinsky methods. And if you don't know what that method is, I implore you to get the book 'Rules for Radicals,' by Saul Alinsky . Mr. Obama is very well trained in these methods," he continues, citing a television campaign critical of the Republican Party and contentious town-hall meetings about health care reform.

"The real truth is that the Obama administration is professional at bullying, as we have witnessed with ACORN at work during the presidential campaign. It seems to me they are sending down their bullies to create fist fights among average American citizens who don't want a government-run health care plan forced upon them," Mr. Voight says. "So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?"

American Thinker: "The Alinskyite's Big, Fat Governance Failure"

Kyle-Anne Shiver gets my vote for writing "Today's Must Read." It's titled, The Alinskyite's Big, Fat Governance Failure and it's a right-on doozy!

She asks some embarrassingly pointed questions and proceeds to answer them. Here's a portion of her prose:
What happens when the thing a president knows best is a set of tactics designed to take power from the "haves"? When the most highly prized info a president ever garnered could be summed up as nothing better than gaming an electoral system with ACORN pay-for-registration schemes?

What happens when a president is very skilled in deceptively cloaking these less-than-altruistic means in rhetorical "moral garments" and his lies finally start catching up with him, destroying his credibility? When a president has never actually run anything successfully, not even his own paper route or a PTA meeting or a small town's city council?

What happens when power-grab tactics, taught by a rabble-rousing revolutionary, suddenly catapult a charismatic demagogue into the highest power-perch in the world?

Well, then, Barack Obama's big, fat governance failure happens.

Here we are, on the worst morning-after any romance writer could conjure, facing a future in the harsh light of day, and beginning to know that all the lovely sweet nothings, murmured in our ears the night before, were just the stuff of fanciful fairytales.

Even stupid-is-as-stupid-does Bill Maher has pleaded with his president to stop the campaign and do the job already.

Even Helen Thomas has seen through the wall of false transparency, the sweetest nothing of all in the One's glittery basket of campaign promises.

Even Camille Paglia is aghast at the healthcare debacle and wants all the underlings fired.

Tsk. Tsk. Even the millions of faithful celebrity Tweeters have gone back to play-acting and Facebookers have found a better face over which to swoon.

The sad and sorry fact is that anyone with even half a brain and a single ounce of common sense would have -- and should have -- seen this big, fat governance failure the day before, without having to wait until the sickening morning after.

I shall forever remember 2008 as the year when the ninnification of America reached its peak.

It's as though 59 million Americans joined hands and shouted at the top of their little lungs, "Yes, We Can March off This Cliff."

It's every mother's adolescent-groupthink nightmare.

Now that the cult-of-personality demagogue is indeed our elected President, even his own faithful Alinskyite minions can no longer be summoned to clamorous action. As the New York Times reported last week, folks who fell right into bed - with amorous passion aplenty -- the night before, swooped up in the hopey, dopey, changey campaign, have now gone back to their real lives of making a living, raising their kids and trying to survive the utterly-failed Crimulus Stimulus and the still-lingering recession.

Morning-after reality has set in faster than a popsicle melts in the August sun.
Then she proceeds to show what has gone wrong. You owe it to yourself to read the rest of her column.

The more this administration implodes and fails to "get its way," the potentially more dangerous it becomes for Americans if or when disaster strikes; be it in the form of a natural disaster or the next terrorist attack (can we say "terrorist?"). I'm convinced this govt will take the first opportunity it can to gain even more control by invoking Marshall Law.

If they can't screw us one way, they're going to screw us which ever way they can. That's the Amerika in which we now live.

How's that "Cash for Clunkers" fiasco working?

NY car dealers are pulling out of the cash for clunkers program because they're not getting paid. So, why now, should we want Obamacare if this teeny-by-comparison "Clunkercare" isn't working?

Nat Hentoff: "I am finally scared of a White House administration."


More people are waking up to the realization that Big Govt has no business taking over health care (or anything else in the private sector). Nat Hentoff, columnist for Jewish World Review, is beginning to see the light:
I was not intimidated during J. Edgar Hoover's FBI hunt for reporters like me who criticized him. I railed against the Bush-Cheney war on the Bill of Rights without blinking. But now I am finally scared of a White House administration. President Obama's desired health care reform intends that a federal board (similar to the British model) — as in the Center for Health Outcomes Research and Evaluation in a current Democratic bill — decides whether your quality of life, regardless of your political party, merits government-controlled funds to keep you alive. Watch for that life-decider in the final bill. It's already in the stimulus bill signed into law.

The members of that ultimate federal board will themselves not have examined or seen the patient in question. For another example of the growing, tumultuous resistance to "Dr. Obama," particularly among seniors, there is a July 29 Washington Times editorial citing a line from a report written by a key adviser to Obama on cost-efficient health care, prominent bioethicist Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel (brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel).

Emanuel writes about rationing health care for older Americans that "allocation (of medical care) by age is not invidious discrimination." (The Lancet, January 2009) He calls this form of rationing — which is fundamental to Obamacare goals — "the complete lives system." You see, at 65 or older, you've had more life years than a 25-year-old. As such, the latter can be more deserving of cost-efficient health care than older folks.

No matter what Congress does when it returns from its recess, rationing is a basic part of Obama's eventual master health care plan. Here is what Obama said in an April 28 New York Times interview (quoted in Washington Times July 9 editorial) in which he describes a government end-of-life services guide for the citizenry as we get to a certain age, or are in a certain grave condition. Our government will undertake, he says, a "very difficult democratic conversation" about how "the chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care" costs.

This end-of-life consultation has been stripped from the Senate Finance Committee bill because of democracy-in-action town-hall outcries but remains in three House bills.
Please read the entire piece. It's crucial that more people figure out what's going on before Obamacare of any variety is foisted upon us all.

Mexican Army takes over customs on US border...HUH????!!!!!

Say what? We've allowed the Mexican Army to take over United States customs on our U.S. Border?? HUH????
Mexico's Army took control of customs Sunday on the busy US border, as federal authorities pulled agents off the job in a massive anti-corruption shakeup, officials told AFP. An Interior Ministry official said the dismissals were being carried out at all Mexican border facilities, and that the customs agents were being replaced.

Customs agents were sacked after some were found to be linked to contraband operations, according to sources at the ministry.

Agents in Nuevo Laredo, on the border with the southern US state of Texas, were called in Saturday to be told they were fired, and to hand in their badges and weapons. A total of 1,100 agents were sacked, Mexican media said.

Army troops took over customs border posts temporarily on Sunday.

Mexico and the United States share a border that stretches across some 2,000 miles (3,220 kilometers) and are partners with Canada in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Mexico is in the midst of a raging war on organized crime, and has expressed serious concern about US weapons crossing into the country.
Well, isn't that special! The Mexican Army took over our customs border posts??? Why??

Obama Healthcare Activists For Hire at Craigslist


So who are the contrived activists showing up at town hall meetings looking for confrontations? Is it the whacked out conservatives who want congress and President Obama to legislate according to the U.S. Constitution or is it the union thugs and community organizers with pre-printed signs. We've not heard of any conservative groups running ads for "rent-a-mobs", but not so with the Obama leftists. Apparently they are running ads at craigslist thusly, " Wanted: Obama healthcare reform volunteers willing to be paid $15 an hour.

I guess this means that when the dems accuse the "whacked out conservatives" of doing this, they are really doing it themselves (that's known as "projection.) Has anyone been able to find such ads for the freedom loving mainstream Americans who are flooding each and every town hall meeting? Don't you know we'd have heard about it by now!

A big thanks to Mark Levin for referring to R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr.'s piece at the American Spectator, titled, Everything's Just Fine. It's worthy of your precious time and here are a couple of paragraphs to whet your appetite:

WASHINGTON -- Allow me a word of encouragement to our president. Mr. Obama, you are doing just fine. You wanted to set a new tone in Washington, and you have. You wanted an open debate on health care, and you have it. Admittedly, the tone is astoundingly rancorous, and not incidentally your approval ratings continue to decline. Then too, support for your health care reform is dropping, especially among independents. Yet I believe you can take heart. You have roused the interest of the American people in you, the Democratic Party, the Congress, and health care. That is good news, at least for us conservatives. Again, you are doing fine. Ever larger numbers of Americans are alarmed by you, your party, the Congress, and your health care monstrosity. Mr. President, you are doing fine. Keep it up. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Truth be known, what else were we to expect from the new administration? In the Senate our president was the most left-wing member by a lot. That is a fact, clearly visible to those who followed his voting record. He is also the least experienced major-party presidential candidate in over a century. As for his experience before he entered upon his brief political career, he has never been in the private sector where he might have gained knowledge about profit margins, the difficulty of maintaining a workforce, or the burden of even a slight tax increase. His sole experience has been a fleeting period teaching law and the anomalous experience of being a community organizer, that is to say, a rabble-rouser who organizes needy people to pester governments and corporations for cash or services.

This campaign for health care reform has been an ongoing chaos. From all I have been able to tell, the Obama White House is a chaos too. The other day I heard of a highly placed White House staffer, with glittering credentials, who sits in a cubicle answering 300-400 urgent e-mails a day. That only reinforces the reports that this White House is nearing a state of "burn out." The word circulating about the Democrats is that they are "desperate" over the state of the Obama health care plan. They have reason to be and my guess is that things will get much worse. Democrats, what were you thinking of when you nominated the most left-wing and inexperienced candidate in the 2008 Democratic field?

Like I said in my August 11th post, it must be real embarrassing to be a democrat these days. And as a conservative, I see that the more abusive the left is to mainstream Americans, the more transparent and unbecoming they are.

So again I say, keep on trash talking the American people, Ms. Pelosi, Sen. Reid and President Obama and your minions. Most of us know who you are already, but the more you trash us, the more you awake the masses as to what you are all about.

By the way, why don't you just argue the issues at the town hall meetings instead of trashing those critical of your proposed legislation? That's a rhetorical question, obviously. We KNOW why you can't argue the issues.

"Conservatives, Shut Up and Step Aside"


You gotta love David Limbaugh's most recent column which blasts the desperate machinations of the left. Here are some of the money paragraphs:
The hubris, arrogance and deceit of President Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership are breathtaking. In their maniacal frenzy to assume control over every aspect of our lives through socialized medicine, they are behaving like the thuggish autocrats they have proved themselves to be.

The jig is up on their designs, evidenced by the very contents of the health bill they're promoting. As increasing public awareness has translated into increasing grass-roots opposition to the bill, the Democrats have ratcheted up their bullying tactics and deceit.

Our self-styled bipartisan president is telling his critics to shut up, while his partners in crime, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her colleagues, are calling them un-American and Nazis.

Understand this: The people who are showing up in droves with righteous anger befitting a body politic steeped in a unique liberty tradition are exercising the very type of bottom-up citizen protest and government watchdogging our Founding Fathers envisioned. They are not the artificially driven "AstroTurf" phonies the Democrats are depicting them to be. No, such activities are the province of Alinsky/Obama-type "street organizers" and union thugs enlisted by the administration to discredit these legitimate protests.

It wasn't enough for Pelosi to call us Nazis. She also co-wrote, with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, an op-ed in USA Today calling us un-American and projecting her own nefarious tactics onto her opposition.

Pelosi and Hoyer accuse the protesters of engaging in "an ugly campaign ... not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue."
Be sure to read the rest of Limbaugh's piece. He's righteously fired up.

It would be so embarrassing to be a democrat these days. Just look at them. They are virtually at war with the American people. Even the most casual observer has to recognize the loathsome antics they are implementing. Who would want to align themselves with these people?

The gulf between the left and right is getting deeper and wider. There have to be millions of decent dems out there among the rank and file; why would they want to associate politically with these unsavory people? You don't even have to know anything about politics to see who's right and wrong anymore, just look at the way people behave.

When people are rude and resort to vicious name calling and refuse to debate ideas, how much savvy does it take to figure out which side is right and which side is wrong?

Keep it up Ms. Pelosi. Continue to mock mainstream Americans. Keep it up Harry Reid. Your numbers will continue to plummet. Keep it up President Obama. The sleeping giant is waking up and union thugs and community organizers aren't going to be able to suppress him.

Again I ask, how embarrassing must it be to be a democrat these days?
