Vatican condemns Israel
In a Reuters report, Vatican condemns Israel for attacks on Lebanon. Heaven forbid, that anyone should ever condemn the whacked out murdering terrorists!
What's becoming of the world and what are people thinking? The problem is, they are not thinking.
Apparently ALL common sense has been tossed out the window when the acts of terrorist states are ignored and minority states, such as Israel, are condemned for fighting back...finally fighting back.
Has anyone mentioned the failed policy of "land for peace?" Maybe Israel just hasn't appeased the terrorist organizations, Hamas and Hezbollah, nearly enough. But,how do you negotiate with terrorists who don't recognize your right to exist? How do you do that exactly? Where does the "road to peace" lead when your enemies want you dead and demand you give up your entire country? In the case of Hamas and the Hezbollah, the road leads directly to the Mediterranean Sea.
Never forget the famous Jimmy Carter quote about Hamas; "They may be terrorists, but they're not corrupt"
It's that kind of Carteresque "touchy feely, be nice to them or they might get angry" egalitarian, moral equivalent loving leftism that has gotten Israel into the fix they are now in. We are in the same fix.
We are just as much a part of this war as Israel is and we can't allow her to lose. If Israel loses this fight against the Middle East terrorist states, then we lose as well. The United States and Israel have to win this war, with or without our skiddish allies (read Europe). There can be no appeasement. No land for peace. No U.N. settlement.
There can be multilateral peace talks after the war has been won, but only after the will and the means of the terrorists have been utterly broken.
