U.S. Taxpayers to fund Mexican development?
The world is an evermore dangerous place today with the Middle East igniting in several places with more ignitions on the way, but be careful not to be distracted and let something like this slip under the radar screen.
According to the WorldNetDaily story, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, wants to create a "North American Investment Fund" to aid in the development of Mexico public works projects. Huh?
Contrary to conventional wisdom, Mexico isn't exactly poor. It's one of the world's top oil producers. How about we get them to produce even more oil and sell it to us at a discount in return for all we've already done for them.
American taxpayers don't need to send anymore of our hardearned money down there than we already have in Social Security payments and untaxed dollars sent to families of illegal Mexican "immigrants" living here.
Enough is enough, Sen. Cornyn.
Wasn't NAFTA supposed to be the instrument whereby Mexico would become prosperous? Has NAFTA worked to keep the flood of illegals out?
Let's just quit talking about the border problem and illegal immigration and build a border fence that would seriously keep the illegals out.
