Troubling Quote of the Day

Spoken by Senator Trent Lott:

“Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.”

Sen. Lott seems to think that Talk Radio is more of a problem than illegal "immigration."

Just for the record, here is a copy of the letter I wrote to Sen. Lott in response to the above quote:

Dear Sir:

Thank you for your service to this country, but I take umbridge with your comment about Talk Radio. You said, “Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem.” How dare you, sir!

When you address "Talk Radio" you are addressing the millions of people who came to bat for you when everyone else in congress threw you under the bus for your Strom Thurmand happy birthday comments. We were the ones who recognized the foolishness of those who derided you into resignation.

Shame on you for your back handed derision of those who supported you back then.

We no longer support you!

Call us what you will, but we are the ones who are standing up for the rule of law and not caving to the illegal alien lobby.

Talk Radio is what democracy is all about. How dare you threaten to "deal with us!"
