Few Conservatives Come to Savage's Aid
Michael Medved is among the very few talk show hosts who have gone to bat for the embattled Michael Savage.
Medved said it best:
Medved is absolutely right and I hate it that more conservatives didn't go to bat for and with Savage, regardless of his obnoxious on-air style.
Talk show hosts rarely mention competing talk show hosts, for obvious reasons, but you gotta tip your hat to those who do when one of them is under attack.
Laura Ingraham has mentioned Savage's plight several times on her show this week and she may have even ventured to San Francisco to get even closer to the fight. Way to go Laura!
Like I said a couple of days ago, Michael Savage isn't exactly the shining city on the hill when it comes to conservative talk radio, but if the intolerant leftists succeed in taking him off the air, it will only encourage them to silence the next in line with whom they cannot tolerate.
Whatever happened to diversity and tolerance?
Medved said it best:
No, I’ve never been a citizen of “The Savage Nation,” and I hardly count as an ardent fan of the bombastic, simplistic, perpetually enraged sort of talk radio exemplified by Michael Savage.
But regardless of my disagreements with the man’s style and substance, he’s absolutely right to stand up to bullying and intimidation by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Whenever a governmental official attempts to silence a journalist or commentator, then all those committed to free speech – whether conservatives, moderates or liberals – ought to protest vigorously against this clear-cut abuse of authority.
